KAYO
#61
I watched via Kayo on Thursday night, the frustrating thing was that Robblues who lives in Qld (I’m in darwin) was watching Fox and I was 2:10 behind his feed !
Very frustrating !

If you had the afl live pass, you should be entitled to the $5 deal.
I also had dramas getting it, I went to the Telstra store twice, they got me connected, but you can’t tack the $5 onto your phone bill, you’ll need to plug your cc into their (kayo’s) system, then everything unlocks for you.
Ps
The difference between the two Kayo packages is only the number of concurrent live streams... the basic gives you 3 and the premium gives you 5 (I think) I think you can setup 5 profiles within your account (to focus your preferred sports to you).
Thanks mate

I switched to the Kayo Telstra $5 deal for 12 months after having AFL live pass courtesy of my Telstra mobile plan, bit fecked off with Telstra cancelling live pass after learning how to cast it off the phone for free. Signing up online was easy enough and attaching it to the bundle where I have my mobile, NBN and home phone line seemed easy. Kayo of course is Foxtel which of course Telstra have a 35% holding in, wont be happy when the 12 months is up paying $25 a month but I guess its better than a full foxtel package with a heap of useless channels I wouldnt watch.  I do like the international cricket and basketball NBL/NBA so for $5 a month its a good deal IMHO.

Having huge problems trying to connect to Kayo.  Website says I don't have authority to access the server...  Called Kayo who say its a Telstra problem with our router.  Called Telstra who reckon its a Kayo problem...  Have rebooted everything back to factory setup etc.
Wasted so much time on this.  Any thoughts from our tech heads here?

There is a 'live' button which you can click on and that will take you up to date. If there is any buffering issues you start to lag behind.

....or you just started a bit late.

No I started watching when the pregame garbage started (first and last time ?) and it was early in the first Q when we noticed how much we were out of sync, made Robblues seem like Nostradamus... ?

I’ve got an iPhone so no luck streaming to tv for me.
I agree on $5 being good value, I’m barely interested in other afl games let alone have time for other sports or as you note junk channels.
I guess I’ll see how I feel next year when the price goes up...

Do you have the app installed on your tv ?
Have you been able to register to Kayo ?
My issue was accessing the $5 link, it was only allowing me to access the $15 link.
Once I got the right link it was pretty easy, although initially all the feeds were padlocked, until I went back to the register for new service (or somesuch) and it took me to about step 5 of the registration process... $$$ cc please ??
I’d keep pumping Telstra.
