The concentration and the confidence were there. H needs a good dose of both and the same sort of work that has made Casboult a much more reliable kick. And soon, because our days at the bottom appear to be numbered.
Fev explained this recently, I think on Bob Murphys show?? Anyway, it was Ross Lyon who helped him fix his kicking when he was an assistant at Carlton. The odd grip he had on the ball was Rossy's idea.

Wish Samo did more - feel like he’s being under-utilised?

Also curious as to what Teague was telling Fish off about at 3/4 time...

As you may remember, he has his shoulder strapped and he got a whack on it in a tackle which hurt him badly.

I'm pretty sure he would've had a jab in it....and maybe has been doing so for a while. In any event, his shoulder is clearly giving him issues.

Given it was his right should and he is a right footer, perhaps its hampering his ability to drop the ball as well as he'd like and this is have an effect on his kicking.

Maybe. Dunno.

If this was on mythbusters, i think they'd end with Myth: Plausible.

SPS looks laconic at times and, like Harry, leans back on his kicks....I reckon he shanked about 4 in the first quarter...and they were before he hurt his shoulder. Martin showed what he's got, especially in that first quarter. He was everywhere, really good pace off the mark and used it beautifully.

Walsh was exceptional and a lot cleaner than most in those conditions.

Weitering must seriously now have his name in AA discussions. King barely got a sniff.

We dominated from the opening bounce and would've been nice for the scoreline to be something like 15-10 or thereabouts but as Teague said, it was the system that he was pleased with...it gave us plenty of chances, which we didn't take as well as we should've. But 4 points, no injuries by the looks and a 9 day break. It should hopefully mean Kennedy is right to go for the game against Collingwood.

TDK and Pitto are a really good combination and thrashed Witts. Pitto is the bull and TDK the athletic bloke who can push forward with his skills. Impossible to see how Kreuzer could force his way back into this team now, barring injury. Similarly, McGovern will have his work cut out now....I'd almost prefer the combination we've got now with McKay/Casboult as the key forwards and Pitto/TDK as the ruckman with TDK pushing forward.

@WAS

TDK is a very exciting prospect who, imo, should be kept in the team and hopefully gets some finals experience. He should be a great asset to us next year. Could the Kreuz era be over?
Reality always wins in the end.

Cookie....I made the comment after TDK's game against Natanui a few weeks ago...his first for the year...that he should be in the side for the rest of the season, barring injury. I reckon he compliments the bullocking work of Pittonet perfectly. Hate to say it but if there's reduced lists next year and smaller salary caps, Kreuzer could get squeezed out and clubs won't have the luxury of having 4 ruckman on their lists. They'll have 2 specialists and someone as capable backup.

Redefines the term 'fringe' player.
Absolutely spot on.

He has got his money so he doesnt have to deliver until the last year if he wants to continue....we got one of those on big bucks who has failed to fire a shot and still collects his money.
