So who comes out for those three? Martin I get, its indigenous round so he and all the indig boys will be raring to go. Cottrell will come out which will be shame. Does TDK come out for Pitto? I think he was excellent last week, can we fit them both along with Cas and H? Perhaps we can so who comes out for Martin and Pitto? Cunningham is a dilemma, we know what we will get from him, SFA most of the game so who ever misses to make way for him will be stiff. Kennedy has a corky so he could be an out, again shame because he has been mostly solid since he came into the side. Honey? Was really keen to see at least another game with him.

Townsend.....I'd be happy with that lot! Pittonet will be handy against the strength/size of Witts and Cunningham good up forward/around goals. I reckon Betts could also be due for a rest and might be him out instead of Gibbons? Martin a great in if he's ready but geez, a calf and only one week out would be a big risk...but fingers crossed.

If Martin comes in I wouldn't want Honey out and in fact given they gave Moore 2 games I wouldn't expect it. Think they might play the "managed" card for one of the oldies and if I had a choice Murph would be it. Not because he played worse than say Simmo or Eddie, but just because I think the conditions (I'm expecting slippery dewy) would suit those two ahead of him. If Pittonet were to come in to replace TDK that would be a mistake IMO. Got to think the kid would handle the hot going better than the lumbering Witts. Cunningham should not be replacing anyone right now but if I had a choice Gibbons would be my pick

Interesting on how they manage this.

On recent form Newnes might have been the one heading out for Martin, but not now, not a chance, although I appreciate Newnes can start off the HBF and we probably want Martin as a Mid or HFF!

So it may well be unlucky for Honey.

I won't be surprised if Kennedy is out that Martin is in, and Cunningham in for Honey, what happens then with TDK, Pittonet, McKay and Casboult is interesting. TDK might be an out for Pittonet to come in! Witts is a significant opponent for TDK to deal with, but to me the perfect scalp for Pittonet to target. Witts played quite well against Soldo, these are very big heavy boys!

I'd be dead surprised with Kennedy being potentially injured if any other of the Mids get the chop!

It's interesting, even following on from the Freo game, it has only made us an even more attractive destination. The main reason seems to be  because we were able to generate so many opportunities, and generating opportunities is seen by players as even harder than finishing, so we become attractive to guys like Martin who can finish!

When picking our side, we need to pick our side for the next 2 games.

Rest a player with a niggle and bring him in for the next one.

Got a player coming back from injury? Put him in, and rest him the next week.

Bring in Martin for this game, rest him for the next.
Drop Honey, bring him in for the next.

I'd be playing Pittonet and TDK....and leaving Levi permanent forward.

Hopefully Kennedy gets up as he's been pretty good in recent weeks and against the Eagles was one of his best games IMO.

Sounds like Martin very likely, the Guv still weeks away.

Cuners and Pitto ready too. I'd play Martin obviously and Pitto (Witts will be dogged tired).

Would rest TDK - can't see why we'd play TDK, Pitto and Levi though TDK can obviously play forward too.

Conditions will suit the talls.

Cuners or Honey? Tempted to give Honey one more, Cuners had been ordinary for a few weeks.

Is it Martin for Cottrell (i'd keep him in for his elite running)? Rest Murphy and/or Simmo.
Finals, then 4 in a row!

Not likely in the Sir Doug Nicholls Round - would border on being cruel to him. Hopefully all our indigenous boys play and play extremely well. I wonder if Syd Jackson could pull on the boots for a qtr  Wink ... I hope he's there though. Feel very fortunate to have witnessed the little wizard in full flight for the Mighty BlueBaggers.
Only our ruthless best, from Board to bootstudders will get us no. 17
