I can’t give us a better rating, because we were awful for much of the game. However, when we were good, we were very good.
Votes:
[3.5] Charlie Curnow
[2] Kade Simpson
[2] Levi Casboult
[1.5] Matthew Kreuzer
[1] Will Setterfield
[1] Marc Murphy
[1] Sam Walsh
[1] Jacob Weitering
[0.5] Dale Thomas
[0.5] David Cuningham
[0.5] Lochie O’Brien
[0.5] Patrick Cripps
Explanations:
[3.5] Charlie Curnow: Totally dominant and kicked 7 brilliant goals.
[2] Kade Simpson: Best 4 quarter effort of the day and probably Simmo’s best game of the year.
[2] Levi Casboult: Levi was brilliant in defence and dominated his position.
[1.5] Matthew Kreuzer: Kreuzer showed just how good a ruckman he is in this effort, as his opponent came out and played his best ever game. However, the Big Tractor really picked up his game and used his intelligence.
[1] Will Setterfield: Setters is still nowhere near his best, but he is improving, and this effort showed some real positives.
[1] Marc Murphy: Murphy was patchy, but he really lifted when we needed it.
[1] Sam Walsh: Sam was dominant when we were at our worst. He dropped off as the game when we were playing better.
[1] Jacob Weitering: Jacob was excellent in defence. He was murdered by a couple of terrible umpiring decisions.
[0.5] Dale Thomas: Very solid in defence.
[0.5] David Cuningham: When we were good, he was excellent.
[0.5] Lochie O’Brien: Solid again, especially when we were struggling.
[0.5] Patrick Cripps: Cripps didn’t have a great game, but he willed himself into the contest and almost took it away from them.
Honourable Mentions:
Nick Newman: Not as prolific as he has been, but solid.
Sam Petrevski-Seton: Not consistent enough, but very good when he was going.
