They have, correctly or otherwise, convinced themselves that our list is star studded, and the new coach has no grace period of any kind. 1980's CFC. Well, at least they've made it public knowledge, so the new coach should be under no illusions.
So should everyone else be under no illusions.
Our list is chock full of first round draft picks.
No matter what you or anyone thinks, we were underperforming.
The coach went off on his own tangent playing guys out of position.
First week of a new coach and Ed Curnow and Gibbons are back in the midfield.
All of a sudden our possession count lifts, we increase pressure and win.

Richmond probably wouldn’t have won a premiership without a dominant Martín. Doesn’t hurt to have a superstar in the team.

I have no idea whether we were under performing or not. That's for the future to decide. Lots of young 1st rounders proves very little on the football field. There's no point discussing it again.
Coaches try and change the dynamic of positions all the time. Is Casboult being played our of position ? What about Jones when he made the switch ? You can't have it both ways. It can't be a coaching masterstroke when it works and a brain fart when it doesn't. If you don't try it in match day conditions, you'll never know.

Here we go. Not word verbatim so accurate enough without exact wording.
Who has DT used as a mentor to help his coaching abilities? He has used Woosha at times and has learned more for Phil Walsh than any others to establish a coaching technique. Teague wants to be his own man and coach his way. He doesn’t want to copy another coach, but use what he has learned from others to help him coach in his own way. keeping things simple and easy to follow.
He instructed the boys before the game during the entire week to enjoy the game and play how they want to play. To play to their own individual skills. Follow the system of having a defensive game, but no so much that they struggle to be attacking and moving the ball forward. Take the game on and not be scared of consequence if they make a mistake. These things happen during a game. Move on.
The side tried to do too much and play too quick with disposal choices, so they coughed the ball up with turn overs in the first quarter. “As the coach this was ENTIRELY MY FAULT “. Settle down a little and play the game at your own pace. “Don’t let the opposition dictate the game being played on their terms”. Make them play the game on our terms. Be more composed. Look for better options and not just the first option.
Some minor changes were made in the second quarter. Ed Curnow was moved onto Lachie Neale. Due to his strength and bigger body, to negate his impact on the game. Sam Walsh was let off the leash torun free and assist Cripps. Forwards were told not to be flat footed and become stagnant in the forward 50m. Move around to keep the defenders guessing.
“Back your own abilities and things will change”. Just try to relax, be composed and back your own abilities and skills. Once the momentum swung the other way, they were encouraged to have fun and enjoy the game and experience. DT thought this was one of the more balanced performances by the entire playing group. All the players pitching in to the end result.
Wants to see more freedom for his players in games moving on. Keep enjoying the game and back your skills. As to Daisy and playing he said he wasn’t sure if there would be any criticism with him playing this game. He had to think this through in his head a few times during the week. However the players wanted him in no matter what. He spoke during the week for team selection and stated with his players during the week that alll must be given a clean slate moving forward. Hence he had to encourage that Daisy be selected for the game. Teague couldn’t be a hypocrite and not have him on the playing field. What message would that send the rest of playing group?
This digital world is too much for us insects to understand.

Thank you, Green Stick. Muchos appreciation.
Very similar to his after game comments and comments made during the week. Refreshing.
Impressive he took the blame for early errors. Can't ever remember BB, MM or even Pagan admitting they got something wrong. Remember Parko admitting error and likewise, Ratts (and other senior coaches from other clubs).
Only our ruthless best, from Board to bootstudders will get us no. 17

Unfortunately it didn't work out. I don't know of anyone that was hoping he would fail, no one. But it didn't work out and we move on. It'll be a huge learning opportunity for him too and as a teacher I reckon he above all, given time, will see that too.
No point going over old ground, it's done and he's gone. And I reckon he would've been really stoked for the boys yesterday too.

They would be feeling pretty s-house about that. We managed to stay with the trend and win after a coach was sacked. History says the good fortune falls away pretty quickly.
