I don't think so...he was under a bit pressure but he was never going anywhere this year.
Look.... this is the result he needed but the expectations will always be that he builds on this .
That's what AFL coaching is all about.
Not even Supercoaches are immune to losing seasons

There seems to be a few around who think otherwise.

What a warrior.

Yes indeed.

Just want to mention SPS...there was a moment early in the game where he didn't go hard enough and actually backed away from the contact. I thought at the time it was a poor effort. Lyon got stuck in to him and rightly so I thought, but I watched him after that and he went head down into the contests I saw.
As long as he learns from that, and I'm sure the coaches will highlight it, it's going to be fine.

Saw the same moment and said to Mrs Hanwell that he needed to rectify that asap, happy to report that every contest after that he went in head first and won probably 80% of them.
Have a feeling that that game might be our plateau moment. That the youngens were very much leading the way to the contest, and we were able to dominate a desperate team, I reckon that game will be looked back on as the moment the lights were turned on.....
I was there, Blight missed!!!

So nice to get a win against that mob. Thought our forward line did very well considering the service.

Hard to see from where I was but thought Dow and O’Brien had lots of important touches. Great to see. Daisy was just about best on. Kruezer, cc, ec  and Cripps immense.

SPS was better, not at the same level as last year but should get confidence from that as will a few others.

Plowman stunk it up. As barbs said that handball to the boundary line was special

Jeffy, based on what I have seen and heard so far this season, Dow and LoB look like very likely types and good pick ups.

And I agree with you re our best, although I'm sure most of us will have similar lists.

You've gotta feel sorry for the Bumblers, but nah.
The only thing in this world worth more than a hill of beans is the Carlton Football Club.

I'd hate to think what Stringer's salary is,  he certainly isn't earning it.  Lazy slob of a footballer.

Loved the glimpses from the kids today,  but the hard core on ball trio of K,  Crippa and Curnow senior were massive.

Why were the boys so upset at Bagauly at 3/4 time?
DrE is no more... you ok with that harmonica man?
