The best Bond of the lot. Old school suave, when actors were actors.

That’s because every character he played was Sean Connery! He was a character on and off the screen.

One of the obits said one reason he got out of Bond films was because they were getting him to do more dangerous stunts, such as swimming with sharks. Apparently in 1 scene where he was strapped to a table with a laser beam slowly cutting through the table as it headed towards his family jewels, they didn’t have any suitable special effects. Instead, they had a guy with an acetylene torch under the table cutting through it, only stopping a few centimetres away from his most cherished possessions! I’d imagine no acting was required in that scene.

Probably, always will be, although Craig has won we over with a return to a more grittier Bond and less of the suave. I think of the alternatives it's likely Craig would be the only one that Connery would approve of!
