*Sigh - I miss the old series. Sport seemed to mean more back then, but maybe I am just getting old.

Less money made the players more desperate to retain a spot, so it was more competitive and dog eat dog.

Also I think the rules makers have been too heavily dominated by past batsmen, so it's made it an uneven contest.

It heralded in some great players on the establishment side as well.  It was just a matter of time before the ACB would cave in.  Fond memories of both WSC and Test Cricket at the same time.
