AFLW Round 6: Freo v Carlton - laj - 03-10-2017 Down 27-35 at 3/4 time. Re: AFLW Round 6: Freo v Carlton - Gointocarlton - 03-10-2017 43-27 with minute to go, season over. Re: AFLW Round 6: Freo v Carlton - kruddler - 03-10-2017 Sad to say, but Freo just wanted it more. Hunted in packs and were largely more desperate at the ball (with a couple of exceptions). I think our taller marking targets, specifically Shierlaw + Ayre, were well held.....partially by the weather! Freo just looked too fit and were not effected by the conditions as much. This loss continues the pattern Win @ home Lose Away. ....lucky R1 was moved to Ikon Park!! Re: AFLW Round 6: Freo v Carlton - PaulP - 03-10-2017 Shame about that. Was hoping the girls could finish strongly and make the GF. I hope they don't develop the boys habit of playing teams into form. That was Freo's first win. Re: AFLW Round 6: Freo v Carlton - crashlander - 03-10-2017 Sorry, I didn't put the teams up. Family tragedy. Been busy.

Re: AFLW Round 6: Freo v Carlton - crashlander - 03-11-2017 Thanks, guys, but this one has only a terminal solution. We go on. Still, I am disappointed the girls couldn't get over the line. Freo were on the bottom, even tough they had been highly rated when the season started. That would have improved my day no end. But we simply cannot afford to lose good players to season ending injuries each week. The effect has been noticeable. |
