You can pick up players from other states that you couldn't pick up on draft day. ....and SA is the place to take some talent. Adelaide have had the pick of the bunch for a long time. Time to start stealing some talent. I understand that she played with Adelaide Lightning alongside Kerryn Harrington so an elite sportswoman too. I reckon that we've done alright with our list changes but time will tell. Re: AFLW 2021 trade and draft period - DRAFT NIGHT - kruddler - 07-31-2021 https://womens.afl/news/73506 An interesting take on our draft night. With the understanding of why we took who we took, i'm a little happier than i was the other night. The recruitment of Jess Good also covers one of my biggest issues from that night. Still have question marks over some kicking techniques, but at least i can see why the players were chosen. Lets see if they live up to those expectations. Re: AFLW 2021 trade and draft period - DRAFT NIGHT - Thryleon - 07-31-2021 Its nice to read that, but are they really going to come out and tell us we missed all our targets but did the best we could? Probably not. Probably not. Why would Riley Beveridge massage the story? He is an AFL media person paid to report things from an AFL perspective. If our draft plans had gone down the gurgler, it would probably be of more interest to the AFL audience. With the exception of Georgie Prespakis, who was never a realistic chance to slip through to our first pick, we got who we wanted. The question now is whether our talent scouts, coach and list manager are on the money. No excuses if they're not. |
