Talk before the game was Collingwood's inability to kick goals. They have 11.

Only Carlton.

Promising plenty round 1, fk up round 2. Basically mark that in your calendar every year. Season always starts round 3 seemingly.

It's going to be a long year if we cant stop teams from scoring like this

The question you need to ask yourself is this. Who would've done a better job?

SPS, people were calling for him to be dropped.
Doc, people have stated how out of touch he has been and he plays too loose.
Willo, had a shocker last week and hasn't done much tonight.

Who do we have left that would do a better job.

Pies have the best small/medium forward brigade in the league. Arguably better than Tigers.....inc. Dusty!

So who would you trust to do a better job?

No pressure + poor skills = fatal combination.

Too many not doing enough.

Setters, dow, curnow, Murphy, Levi all not good enough.

Theres a few others too, but at least they are trying.

Plowman is getting touched up in contests but he's been on lots of them.

Sidebottom into the side adds another dimension which helps.

But as i just got through saying, its all about their small/medium forwards and the team they match up one (or don't match up on).

Same with the tigers last week.

Tall forwards have a hard time with Weiters and Jones.....smaller forwards have more luck.

I'd put Jones on DeGoey, we don't have a mid size defender to go with him.
Cripps needs to lift too, Sier and Pendlebury have him covered and Walsh has his handful with Adams. We are still in it but we have to do better in the middle.
Ed and Setterfield have to give us more...

I think Murphy is the odd one out there. He'd had it 10 times, only 4 blues have had more.

Cripps has only had it 9 times by comparison.

Murphy has had 6 score involvements, more than anyone else in Navy Blue.

Setterfield, Williamson, should be dropped if Teague is fair dinkum, They are useless and Newnes is not much better.

Plowman is on a hiding to nothing with the ball coming down so easy.

We are kidding ourselves if we think that Docherty is still AA, his disposal is dismal, how many times does he kick the ball out on the full.

Cripps is useless unless he can get first hands on the ball, let him leave and we'll do better.

Casboult is pure crap, someone give him a cork so we can get McDonald on.

I'm furious with the lack of intent, too many waiting for others to do things, making half ar$ed attempts. Got very comfortable being good against Richmond while the media tore Collingwood a new one. I think Teague needs to have a good look at his selections for next week.

We have not improved at all, the only good thing is the players we have bought in over the past two seasons, Williams Martin and Saad. The red pen needs to come out and rules some guys out for next week.
