Re: Rd 12: Pre game Prophecies: Carlton vs St. Kilda - Mav - 06-08-2016 It wasn't just his kicking - early on, he panicked with his backward handballs when a tackle was imminent and would miss his target. Thankfully, he outgrew that. Re: Rd 12: Pre game Prophecies: Carlton vs St. Kilda - cookie2 - 06-08-2016 Ed, through reasons outlined previously in this thread, has elevated himself to being one of the most important players in our squad and this year that has become even more apparent. Well done Ed and congratulations! Re: Rd 12: Pre game Prophecies: Carlton vs St. Kilda - Pratty - 06-08-2016 Yep, congratulations Ed Curnow on 100 games in the Navy Blue. Been a revelation this year as a ball-winning midfielder in his own right. Very important for us, and him. The midfield now has greater depth, due to a couple of factors (at least) in a couple of extra quality mids/footballers and an increase in output and consistency from all of these blokes. It makes all the difference: Kreuzer Cripps Gibbs Murphy E.Curnow Thomas Simpson Kerridge Wright And, these blokes have been 'rolling' through there also: Sumner Lamb Graham Re: Rd 12: Pre game Prophecies: Carlton vs St. Kilda - flyboy77 - 06-09-2016 If Sumner comes back in, who goes out? Graham? Sumner's not a full time mid.....and must lack a tank given his foot problems? That would mean one less player in our midfield rotations unless the flankers increase their time in the midfield - Murphy was spending a bit of time as a half forward. The essence of Bolton's gameplan is that it doesn't matter which 18 players are on the ground, they all know the role that's required of them in any situation. Re: Rd 12: Pre game Prophecies: Carlton vs St. Kilda - Gointocarlton - 06-09-2016 So all this talk of SOSOS made me dream last night that he was selected to make his debut this week. In the dream, he ran out wearing no.1. Just sayin'. Re: Rd 12: Pre game Prophecies: Carlton vs St. Kilda - Amers - 06-09-2016 Congrats to Ed for getting to 100 games, great effort !! A talented athlete, but not so much a gifted footballer, his tenacity and hard work and effort are what has gotten him to where he is today. It took him a bit longer than some and he had to do it the hard way, but this achievement has been very well earned !! Re: Rd 12: Pre game Prophecies: Carlton vs St. Kilda - Robblues - 06-09-2016 Wow SOSOS has been named as part of the bench?
