Re: Rd 10: Post Game Paradise!: Carlton vs Geelong - Zed - 05-29-2016 Been a while since my last post. Best and most consistent effort from a Carlton side in what seems like forever. Four-quarters of determination, toughness, mongrel and class! Two players down in the 1st quarter but still showed them up. Yes we had good wins over the wobbles and that Port win was epic, but this was a whole other level. I'll finish with a question: When was the last time we beat a genuine top-4 team?? Team defeat them 16-8 and the best he can say is "Those clubs were struggling to score" in previous weeks. What do you expect from the Pirhana twins? Not a true ruckman and not a KP player but something inbetween that allows Mk to ruck most of the day and allows Casboult to play FF and take another tall off his tail. Andrew Philips is the better ruckman but probably doesnt add the variety that Gorringe does...just shows reserves form means nothing...Gorringe was a fair performer only in the NB's and only got a game due to injuries but has shown way more in the seniors... It was a day for the lesser players IMO...Simon White was a star IMO....Rowe dominated Hawkins....Armfield was slotting goals....when your bottom group of players are big contributors you are competitive and Bolton has everyone doing something.....you then add players like Gibbs taking his game to a new level and it = win.. Re: Rd 10: Post Game Paradise!: Carlton vs Geelong - Zed - 05-29-2016 Sheik, don't go near a radio, TV, mobile, tablet or computer on game day for the rest of the season... there's a good chap

If you read my previous comment, you'd be better for it I did read your previous post and I'm not better for it. In fact, I'm sorry that I allowed it to take some of the gloss off the win. It's a little like the bloke who was calling for Casboult to be dragged today; just minor annoyances during a most enjoyable game and post game celebration
Re: Rd 10: Post Game Paradise!: Carlton vs Geelong - LoveNavy - 05-29-2016 @ Zed I wish I could answer your question, but my memory is just not good for that stuff. Give it a couple of minutes and someone will post it. Welcome back, enjoy the new blues. Re: Rd 10: Post Game Paradise!: Carlton vs Geelong - Bear - 05-29-2016 Can't add too much more, played a much more fancied opponent off the park. Sensational 4 qtr team effort. Not bad for a fringe playerYoure not alone Mal. I did the extra write off because I was actually attending. It was the first win I have attended in a very very long time. And I loved it. Re: Rd 10: Post Game Paradise!: Carlton vs Geelong - Brettie - 05-29-2016 I haven't experienced this raw 'Carlton-ness' in a Carlton crowd for so many years......we're barracking with a ferocity that is simply awesome to be apart of & everyone is buying-in. The Carlton crowd hasn't been this engaged for so long & I reckon the players themselves are loving every minute of it. A lot of people are doing a lot of things right at the Club right now......we're now very much a part of this competition in every respect, not lagging behind with outdated methodologies & an arrogance in avoiding change.....it's great to be back & barrack for a Club that can be respected again. |
