The VFL is a development squad and that is it. I have said repeatedly on this site that we should build a winning culture by developing our VFL team with a view to winning regularly and competing to win the title. Our seniors are not capable, we would at least have the reserves to look at - in fact I would rather support a winning seconds team most weeks that watch the seniors play.

I can well understand Crocker's affiliation with the Pies, that was the club he 'really' played for and probably still makes him feel welcome.
Fair points, I think given our predicament, many will try and use it to stir the pot (ie not united) as per the tweets where I saw it suggested.

Is it a recent video or an old one from when he was actually on their list?

If it's recent, is he about to be drafted in the msd.

I guess it has to be someone who is never going to play senior football which narrows it down to non-listed Carlton players....or Paddy Dow

Been around the block to a few clubs so he is probably getting the job based on experience given we have so many kids, newbies and raw non listed players and its a very small window of players to pick from.
