I can't remember the last time I saw a Carlton team play such a physical brand.
Who's The Moth?

Finals would be fabulous but would you rather make it and get smashed or sit just outside and build some hunger for next year.

Watched the final quarter just now and have to say the last 3.30 Minutes Were the best and most composed I’ve seen all year.  Smart direct kicks, using their brains rather than try and mail it forward in a wild panic.  Huge step.

And the kicks in those last minutes, superb. Can’t recall who to Plow, who then hit up long to Casbolt and tHen Casbolts front of the square. Excellent.

Just watching the game, Cottrell did not much for three quarters then finally he was amongst it in the last.
Funny commentary they talk about him going for a mark and how he needed to take the opportunity as he was 30m our from goal - that was about 10min mark of last quarter. Interesting how it worked out, he worked very hard to still be involved even tho and as he agreed, it wasn’t really his night until the end.

I reckon we'll finish 10th, which is a strong step in the right direction. These blokes know they're a flea's franger from playing finals, and doing well in finals. Just a coupla quality ins, on-field and in the assistant coaching ranks, and look out, the swagger might be back.

Not optimisim, just facts.

According to Daisy Thomas, Cottrell calls himself the Moth because he likes the bright lights. He had a nothing game up to that point.

If you're talking about Levi's front and centre that Cottrell marked. Wonder kid Walsh was the hit up kick to Casboult.

Cameron Bruce also needs to go, we need a fwd line coach that has some semblance of a clue and that can introduce a system that our "football mental" lightweights can cope with. This year is shot but for FFS, get a specialist goal kicking coach back at the club. Sav, Fev, Dunstall, someone that again has some idea of how to teach all our guys how to kick a football from a set shot.
I turned it off after they kicked the 6th as it was just too hard to watch. Taken was on, at least I know Liam Neeson shoots straight. I found out Carlton won via text so I watched the game from that point on. Showed some ticker to get back from 6.5 goals down, never should have got in that predicament in the first place. Can't help but be negative after that, sorry.
We got the 4 points and it was nice to win a close one but I get your drift.
Truth is most of us wouldn't know half the Swans team that was on the park and it was the weakest team I have seen them field for a long while and I was expecting a decent size win rather than falling over the line.
You can only beat what's on the park but I'm not getting carried away either and saying we have arrived and we don't have any problems.
