Re: God help me - the Test Cricket thread - ElwoodBlues1 - 01-08-2022 Jim was right twice with Khawaja, it's a reflection on the English bowling and Roots lack of nous as captain that he could come in and score with such ease. Worst English team I have seen for sure... Re: God help me - the Test Cricket thread - capcom - 01-09-2022 Well, that was the one that got away .... meh, it happens Re: God help me - the Test Cricket thread - ElwoodBlues1 - 01-09-2022 (01-09-2022, 08:41 AM)capcom link Wrote:Well, that was the one that got away .... meh, it happensEnglish showed some fight today, Crawley can play and Stokes, Leach love a rear guard action. Jonny Bairstow showed plenty of grit and spirit but they need more youth coming through. Langar and Cummins mucked up the declaration but that's cricket... Jonny Bairstow showed plenty of grit and spirit but they need more youth coming through. Given they were never likely to chase down that target, it was at least 45 minutes too late. Boland's got the goods though. Re: God help me - the Test Cricket thread - Professer E - 01-09-2022 There was plenty enough time, I thought we were poor with both new balls, especially the first one. Lost seven overs due to rain after lunch and couldn't bowl our quicks at the end because of the light.. All conspired against us... Re: God help me - the Test Cricket thread - sandsmere - 01-09-2022 Can.t do a lot better than 3 wins and the ashes in the first 3 games and only one wicket stopping us in the fourth game. Usman K . . . . . . . great match. Re: God help me - the Test Cricket thread - Mav - 01-09-2022 In a parallel universe, did Boland get an early selection and shut Hazelwood out of the Test team? No wonder wicketkeepers would prefer to play with broken fingers rather than give their competition a chance at stealing their spots. Carey should be a long term as he has both keeping and batting potential, batting with quick scoring which can bring results. |
