Re: Post Game Parlay: AFL 2019 Rd 15: Carlton vs Melbourne - Professer E - 07-07-2019 How did Kyle Dunkley go for the dees? We were supposedly looking at his mid season. Re: Post Game Parlay: AFL 2019 Rd 15: Carlton vs Melbourne - jeza - 07-07-2019 I was very disappointed with Fisher. One of my favourite players but he put in some really poor chases today. May be a long season starting to catch up with him? Guys like Dow and Fisher have been given a lot fewer minutes in the middle since Teague took over. Seeing their stats go down doesn't mean they are stalling. Great to see Setterfield find a way into the game after a horror first 3 quarters. Plowman had a complete horror show from start to finish. Good impact from Kennedy - shame he couldn't snag a 3rd or 4th but he did some really good things. LOB was practically nowhere today. Hats off to Jack Silvagni. Our best today by a mile. When nobody else was standing up. When asked to play midfield then go and play forward he just got on with it. I take it great pleasure in a young guy shoving it right up those Muppets in the media and on here who were just hoping for him to struggle so they could heap pressure on his Dad to delist him. Rushing to write off a 20 year old. Sad individuals. Re: Post Game Parlay: AFL 2019 Rd 15: Carlton vs Melbourne - LoveNavy - 07-07-2019 @ Jack Burton Thankyou for your comprehensive comments I didn't realise Dow was playing small forward :-\ That's a tricky position let alone for a youngster already underperforming. Just the same, has much to gain from a run in the 2's. If only we had the depth. Deluca probably worth bringing in for Dow or LOB. SOJ and Kennedy keep their spots for mine. Add Cunningham and Crippa and we should be stronger in the midfield. Re: Post Game Parlay: AFL 2019 Rd 15: Carlton vs Melbourne - pew2 - 07-07-2019 Don’t be fooled by comeback Melb had 3 players down and we still couldn’t win .Time to do a port Adelaide and drop name players. Walsh is a freak who continues to soldier on but the others look shot and in need of some rest. re: Jack...been great, genuine utility, not many players who can play forward and then go in the middle and be effective in both positions. Need Cripps back and a more seasoned player like Deluca in the middle.. Plowman, Newman, E Curnow, L Jones are by far our worst offenders - yet we persist because Plowman can defend, Newman (??), Curnow is tough in the clinches and Jones gives the side plenty of run from the HB line, but there is a threshold and Plowman/Jones/Newman were more or a liability than an asset today. Plowman's decision making is simply deplorable and Jones was far too loose on McDonald. Setterfield really should make it as a midfield and despite being around for a while, this really is first year of AFL footy - I'm happy with his progress given his lack of experience. |
