Dogs one rotation done with Stringer's string. Hopefully they tire and we run over the top, I did say hopefully.

That kept threatening to get ugly.

Need some of the big boys to start smashing some bodies and opening up our forward line.

Not an enjoyable quarter to watch at all.

It is always hard to control emotion, because you are more emotional now, than in say rounds 2-3.
But to me that was one of our worst quarters for the year (and we have had quite a few worse quarters on the scoreboard).
Simply we are smashing the hitouts, equaling the clearances, but not looking like winning the ball around the ground and not looking dangerous going forward.

We must stick some tackles, that is point number 1. If Bolts could only give 1 message this half time break it should be... Stick tackles and stick them hard.
Give away a few frees if absolutely necessary, but hold up play and stick some farking tackles.

Oh and there is no reason to fear this side, this is not the reigning premiers, this is a team short on confidence and form. We are reinvigorating them

Just get a hold of the momentum of the game.

Dogs got on a run and we couldn't stop it.

Flood back sooner and if we do get possession, do our sideways/backwards kicking thing to take a bit of the sting out of the game. We let them get too far ahead and now we'll struggle to kick a score to get us back in it.

From AFL Match Center:

Four players for the Bulldogs recorded double digit disposals in the second term. By comparison, 10 Blues players had three disposals or less. This came off the back of the Bulldogs winning uncontested possessions 89-54 this quarter.

'Pressure acts' are fine, but players like SPS and Fisher need to be creative and play makers as well. They have no real influence on the game.

Our spud factor is high and their good players are getting too much footy.....Docherty on the ball hasnt worked and needs to be back across half back.
Weitering has been woeful, Simpson not much better and the little man Caleb Daniel continues his good form against us.

Pros...Nick Graham playing one of his best games IMO, using the ball well and working hard, Boekhorst was ok early and Liam Jones has been reliable.

Why we kick across goal to one on two contests etc and continue to kick short in the backline is beyond me...Dogs have lived off our mistakes.

We've got too many scrubbers in the side, pure and simple.
Cripps leaves a gaping hole.
