Only 3 players with 0 tackles, Gibbo (surprisingly), Levi and Weiters.

Great win.

For 3 quarters, Geelong followed that famous dictum that 80% of success is showing up. Just treated it as a training drill. Very cocky and arrogant and paid the price. When they stopped farting around, they are still a good football side.

We were in a sense, saved by the bell, and it's bloody nice to have time on our side for a change. Shame we didn't have this in a couple of early games last season.

Our fortunes are still too closely linked to Cripps' performance. When he fires, so do we. He was super last night.

Marco Pittoneto (let's call una vanga una vanga), is a good competitor - against all but the elite rucks, he will give a real contest. Nice body of work so far.

And I guess playing the kids en masse is now well and truly a thing of the past ?

Some of our ball use is still very scrappy. Plenty of room for improvement.

Just watching it now - Hawthorn showed us the way - put pressure, constantly, on your opponents and they are as ordinary as the next team.

Pittonet - never ever going to make it as a #1 ruck.  :Smile  :Smile

Terrific team effort. Should give them a lot of heart and belief.

And still a few who can improve a lot in terms of output eg Big H., samo, Setters.

Looking forward to seeing that smug coach from Geelong!

Handled himself quite well IMO, including being questioned about Clarkson's comments.

We played well enough to deserve the win,  but heck we were lucky... Short quarter,  Gutlett missing his charity kick,  Ratugolea's brain fade.. The planets all aligned,  for just long enough.  We still carry a few passengers, glimpses and cameos don't consistently win you games.

And beaten by it last week so I think we’re even!  I’d like to know what Guthrie did to Walsh on half time, looked like some ‘face action’, because Walsh came at him at a million mile an hour. It was also great to see that every time there was a ‘confrontation’ Pittonet was front and centre being a presence, without stupidity.

Good signs.
