I know we usually have an extra gear towards the end of the match, but so do the dogs. We've gone in tall.....we've used a taller/slower mid as our sub and we've lost a small to injury. Not ideal in a fast paced shootout.
Despite the extra ruck, we are on a par with our performance against GWS through the middle in terms of hitouts/clearances etc. This needs to change in the 2nd half.
Of our talls, Weitering has been huge down back. Harry has been big around the ground, the rest have been largely irrelvent apart from the odd cameo.
Owies shows why he shouldn't be used as a sub.
Williams breaking down now gives us enough time to get him back for finals and lets us try someone new there next week. Lets go with Motlop NOT Fantasia for this please!

Nothing in the last 6 quarters has been convincing.
Wrestle back the ascendancy by getting first use will go a long way.
Cottrell to get it together this half. Hopefully. Acres working his bside off. Harry having another solid game so far.

Cottrell only has 2 touches to half time.
I know when he was off Fantasia was supposedly filling in as cover for Cottrell.
Cotrell now seems to be covering for the fantasia role......of being a passenger.
Hewett doesn't deserve to be out of the 22 with passengers like Fantasia/Cottrell getting a game. Need to lift!

For me the thing that has stood out in the last few weeks is we've lost our composure with the berserker game style.
We've had plenty of footy today, but turned it over in damaging locations, some of it about choice of target, a bit about execution. I thought we looked better balanced as squad today, but we might be missing McGovern's cool head and precise ball use.
English is got the better of both our rucks, but it's not helped by the lack of holding the ball decision today, a lot of unrewarded tackles that had a few of our players perplexed.
Cerra horribly out of touch, low confidence and it shows in his ball use, possibly carrying something as well.

Fwd pressure has been poor for 6q now, aside an odd glimpse. 1 tackle i50 isn't enough.
