It was definitely the case in the past but...
I think those days are gone.
Disappeared in the last 10 years.
Neither side fully accepted the legitimacy of Trump or Biden.
"Not my President", "Stolen election", "Russian interference"..... all diminished the respect Americans had for respective sides of politics.

I'm not so sure about that. Biden and the other bloke may be on the nose but so have many presidents before them. It has been the case for generations that US "voters want strong presidents who know how to lead and how to make their will prevail" and that seldom realised ideal underpins their respect for the office. Judge Merchan said that he was reluctant to gaol Aurangzeb for contempt of court because he was a former POTUS and could be so again. That's not respect for the individual but respect for the office that individual once held.

Turn the vision off and just listen to the sound and there's not a lot of difference in the delivery.
I still think the Democrats have made a mistake with him as the candidate.
He makes gaffes like confusing Egypt with Mexico.
He freely admits he can get into trouble from his minders if he goes off script.
He is too old and it presents the voters with a choice between two old guys.

I think that I’ve said previously that I wouldn’t let either of them run a chook raffle. It really is a sad state of affairs when a “democratic” system and spurious beliefs make it so difficult for competent candidates to stand for office.

But you know what exposes the truth, as Jung stated, you are what you do not what you say and of these two what Trump does is far far more damaging to society!
Actually, Trump has both sides of this coin covered, he says ridiculous things to incite the crowd, then he hides at the back of the bus leaving the chaos and trouble far away, meaning what he says and what he does is damning. Trump is the archetypal bully you were all educated to identify in school. Trump is the fat controller American movies always portray as coping the hit from the karma bus!
In politics I don't have much regard for most policy, as there is always a price to pay, but the basic rules of decency should still apply, respect people, don't slander or harm them, help whenever you can. Does anyone really see any of that in Trump?

That would reflect even better on Biden then when comparing him 2010 and 2024 .
A doctored 2010 pre recorded to make him look good.... compared to mostly real time performances for which he is criticised in 2024.

Watch a video titled "X stutters his way through dementia", you believe "X has dementia", it's the power of suggestion. Even if after pause you decide X doesn't have dementia, you'll still refer to the video as "the dementia video". The mainstream media has known this reality for a long time, but it was never used so nefariously by mainstream media as it now is by social media!
I know people find this concept almost offensive, everybody thinks they aren't susceptible to such suggestions, but it's that very denial and ignorance that is far more dangerous. If you accept you are vulnerable you can start to look for it without any need for paranoia.

You see much of this is just a perspective, why do some people take such an act as a sign paedophilia, or at least imply that it is, what is in that perceiver's own history that suggests such an act hides an darker motive? Is the smella the fella?
Who publishes these videos, what is their history, those answers matter as much if not more than the content!
