Re: Jim Park Analysis 2023 - crashlander - 07-16-2023 AFL Rd 16: Carlton vs Hawthorn Winning without a definite ruck was excellent. To win as we did, after the bye, was excellent. Trends: [1] There were 14 voters this week, one of the best we've managed this season. Even so, please do take the time to vote: it makes our statistics a lot more reliable and, more importantly, it shows how active we are on the forum. [2] The rating was a 9.81, which is just above an A-, the second highest for the year. [3] 18 players again managed a mention this week. It shows how just about everyone had a really solid contribution. [4] The average vote this week was 32, which equals the season high. [5] 7 players managed 100 votes or more this week, which is phenomenal!I thought last week's 6 was damned good, but 7!! And one other guy had 98 votes! [6] Adam Cerra managed his 4th BOG in a row, his 5th for the season. He scored 301 votes. Cripps and McKay were equal second with 175 votes. [7] Only two players, Cerra and Cripps, managed votes from all of the voters. [8] Our youngsters didn't stand out this round, but both Concotta and Kemp were well worth their place. [9] We really dominated in the midfield this week, although our key defenders and forwards also stood out. Votes: Cerra, Adam 301 Cripps, Patrick 175 McKay, Harrison 175 Walsh, Sam 147 Weitering, Jacob 137 Silvagni, Jack 126 Docherty, Sam 116 Acres, Blake 98 Kemp, Brodie 32 Martin, Jack 32 Curnow, Charles 25 Fogarty, Lachlan 25 Cuningham, David 21 Newman, Nicholas 18 McGovern, Mitchell 18 Kennedy, Matthew 14 Boyd, Jordan 11 Saad, Adam 4 Progressive Votes: 2447 - Cerra, Adam (0) 1639 - Curnow, Charles (0) 1488 - Docherty, Sam (0) 1299 - Walsh, Sam (0) 1219 - Cripps, Patrick (0) 1193 - Newman, Nicholas (0) 1111 - Weitering, Jacob (0) 917 - Acres, Blake (0) 854 - McKay, Harrison (0) 677 - McGovern, Mitchell (0) 570 - Saad, Adam (0) 489 - Young, Lewis (0) 431 - Kemp, Brodie (0) 415 - Kennedy, Matthew (0) 402 - Silvagni, Jack (0) 392 - Hewett, George (0) 381 - Curnow, Edward (0) 315 - de Koning, Tom (0) 311 - Pittonet, Marc (0) 292 - Cottrell, Matthew (0) 263 - Owies, Matthew (0) 198 - Hollands, Oliver (0) 182 - Cincotta, Alex (0) 157 - Motlop, Jesse (0) 67 - Durdin, Corey (0) 52 - Fisher, Zac (0) 45 - Martin, Jack (0) 39 - Boyd, Jordan (0) 30 - Cuningham, David (0) 25 - Fogarty, Lachlan (0) 13 - Dow, Patrick (0) Re: Jim Park Analysis 2023 - crashlander - 07-25-2023 AFL Rd 17: Carlton vs Fremantle Winning in Perth, winning without a proper ruckman, winning like we did; so much to like this week. Trends: [1] There were 13 voters this week, which is really solid. Especially as the game was in Perth and not on free-to-air TV. Even so, please do take the time to vote: it makes our statistics a lot more reliable and, more importantly, it shows how active we are on the forum. [2] The rating was a 9.97, which is an A, the highest for the year and one of the highest I can remember. [3] 16 players again managed a mention this week. It shows how just about everyone had a really solid contribution. [4] The average vote this week was 33, which is the season high. [5] 5 players managed 100 votes or more this week, which is still brilliant. It really shows just how many players made brilliant contributions. [6] Adam Cerra and Sam Walsh tied for top spot this week with 276 votes. I don't remember many ties. Weitering came in 3rd. It is Cerra's 5th week in a row on top, his 6th BOG for the year. [7] No player managed votes from all of the voters, which is also something of a first. A number of players missed from 1 voter. [8] Our youngsters didn't stand out this round, but both Concotta and Kemp were well worth their place again. Both did solid jobs and look to have long term positions. [9] It was a very even distribution this week, with all areas of the game making significant contributions. Votes: Cerra, Adam 276 Walsh, Sam 276 Weitering, Jacob 207 Cripps, Patrick 153 McKay, Harrison 153 Docherty, Sam 107 Saad, Adam 65 Silvagni, Jack 54 Kennedy, Matthew 42 Owies, Matthew 38 Curnow, Charles 35 Newman, Nicholas 35 Martin, Jack 27 Young, Lewis 15 Acres, Blake 8 Fogarty, Lachlan 4 Progressive Voting: 2723 - Cerra, Adam (0) 1673 - Curnow, Charles (0) 1595 - Docherty, Sam (0) 1575 - Walsh, Sam (0) 1372 - Cripps, Patrick (0) 1318 - Weitering, Jacob (0) 1228 - Newman, Nicholas (0) 1008 - McKay, Harrison (0) 925 - Acres, Blake (0) 677 - McGovern, Mitchell (0) 636 - Saad, Adam (0) 504 - Young, Lewis (0) 457 - Kennedy, Matthew (0) 455 - Silvagni, Jack (0) 431 - Kemp, Brodie (0) 392 - Hewett, George (0) 381 - Curnow, Edward (0) 315 - de Koning, Tom (0) 311 - Pittonet, Marc (0) 301 - Owies, Matthew (0) 292 - Cottrell, Matthew (0) 198 - Hollands, Oliver (0) 182 - Cincotta, Alex (0) 157 - Motlop, Jesse (0) 72 - Martin, Jack (0) 67 - Durdin, Corey (0) 52 - Fisher, Zac (0) 39 - Boyd, Jordan (0) 30 - Cuningham, David (0) 29 - Fogarty, Lachlan (0) 13 - Dow, Patrick (0) Re: Jim Park Analysis 2023 - crashlander - 07-27-2023 AFL Rd 18: Carlton vs Port Adelaide Probably our best win since our glory days, we smashed a premiership contender into the dust. It was so good to see. Trends: [1] There were 13 voters this week, for the second week in a row. As good a turnout as we get these days. Even so, please do take the time to vote: it makes our statistics a lot more reliable and, more importantly, it shows how active we are on the forum. [2] The rating was a 10.21, which is aalmost an A+, the highest for the year and one of the highest I can remember. Even better than last week. [3] 15 players managed a mention this week, which is still brilliant. It shows how just about everyone had a really solid contribution, which has been a hallmark of our last few weeks. [4] The average vote this week was 33, which is the equal season high. I haven't seen a bigger total since I've been doing this statistic. [5] 4 players managed 100 votes or more this week, which is still brilliant, even if it isn't as high as it has been of late. It really shows just how many players made brilliant contributions. [6] Jack Silvagni won the BOG this week, for the first time in his career. he played the most complete game he's ever produced. Newman and Cripps also got more votes than most require for a BOG. [7] 2 players, Silvagni ad Cripps managed votes from all of the voters, which is more usual. Still there was a very wide spread of votes. [8] Of our youngsters, Jesse Motlop stood out this week. As a late call-up, he surprised Port and slotted 4 brilliant goals. Cincotta and Kemp may not have got votes, but made valuable contributions. [9] It was a very even distribution again this week, with all areas of the team making significant contributions. Votes: Silvagni, Jack 353 Newman, Nicholas 306 Cripps, Patrick 255 de Koning, Tom 130 Docherty, Sam 86 Motlop, Jesse 86 Acres, Blake 82 Curnow, Charles 71 Walsh, Sam 63 McGovern, Mitchell 55 Cerra, Adam 12 Cottrell, Matthew 12 Martin, Jack 8 Cuningham, David 8 Weitering, Jacob 4 Progressive Votes: 2735 - Cerra, Adam (0) 1744 - Curnow, Charles (0) 1682 - Docherty, Sam (0) 1638 - Walsh, Sam (0) 1627 - Cripps, Patrick (0) 1534 - Newman, Nicholas (0) 1322 - Weitering, Jacob (0) 1008 - Acres, Blake (0) 1008 - McKay, Harrison (0) 809 - Silvagni, Jack (0) 732 - McGovern, Mitchell (0) 636 - Saad, Adam (0) 504 - Young, Lewis (0) 457 - Kennedy, Matthew (0) 444 - de Koning, Tom (0) 431 - Kemp, Brodie (0) 392 - Hewett, George (0) 381 - Curnow, Edward (0) 311 - Pittonet, Marc (0) 304 - Cottrell, Matthew (0) 301 - Owies, Matthew (0) 243 - Motlop, Jesse (0) 198 - Hollands, Oliver (0) 182 - Cincotta, Alex (0) 80 - Martin, Jack (0) 67 - Durdin, Corey (0) 52 - Fisher, Zac (0) 39 - Boyd, Jordan (0) 37 - Cuningham, David (0) 29 - Fogarty, Lachlan (0) 13 - Dow, Patrick (0) Cerra is still a clear leader, but it is very close for 2nd spot with 5 guys contested for that honour. Re: Jim Park Analysis 2023 - crashlander - 07-29-2023 AFL Rd 19: Carlton vs West Coast The first half was as good a footballas anyone has played this century. The second half we limped over the line with injuries. But a 71 point win doesn't come around every day. Trends: [1] There were 10 voters this week, which is as disappointing for a 12 goal win as could be imagined. Please do take the time to vote: it makes our statistics a lot more reliable and, more importantly, it shows how active we are on the forum. [2] The rating was a 10.03, which is an A, the second highest for the year and one of the highest I can remember. We very rarely score games this high. [3] 13 players managed a mention this week, which is still brilliant. It shows how just about everyone had a really solid contribution, which has been a hallmark of our last few weeks. Since I've been doing this we've never been this consistent all over the board as we've been these last 5 rounds. [4] The average vote this week was 33, for the 3rd week in a row. [5] 5 players managed 100 votes or more this week. This is also something we haven't done since the glory days. [6] Charlie Curnow managed an incredible 537 votes to be BOG. Not even Judd managed those figures. This was Charlie's 4th BOG for the year. [7] 2 players, Curnow and Docherty managed votes from all of the voters this week. There was againa considerable spread, but not as wide as it has been recently. [8] Kemp and Hollands stuck out as youngsters who made a significant contribution this week. [9] Other than Charlie, who was 300 votes better than anyone else, it was a very even distribution again this week, with all areas of the team making significant contributions. Votes: Curnow, Charles 537 de Koning, Tom 221 Hewett, George 206 Docherty, Sam 176 Walsh, Sam 125 Weitering, Jacob 70 Newman, Nicholas 45 Kemp, Brodie 40 Saad, Adam 25 Dow, Patrick 25 Hollands, Oliver 15 Cuningham, David 15 Acres, Blake 5 Progressive Votes: 2735 - Cerra, Adam (0) 2281 - Curnow, Charles (0) 1857 - Docherty, Sam (0) 1763 - Walsh, Sam (0) 1627 - Cripps, Patrick (0) 1579 - Newman, Nicholas (0) 1392 - Weitering, Jacob (0) 1013 - Acres, Blake (0) 1008 - McKay, Harrison (0) 809 - Silvagni, Jack (0) 732 - McGovern, Mitchell (0) 665 - de Koning, Tom (0) 661 - Saad, Adam (0) 597 - Hewett, George (0) 504 - Young, Lewis (0) 471 - Kemp, Brodie (0) 457 - Kennedy, Matthew (0) 381 - Curnow, Edward (0) 311 - Pittonet, Marc (0) 304 - Cottrell, Matthew (0) 301 - Owies, Matthew (0) 243 - Motlop, Jesse (0) 213 - Hollands, Oliver (0) 182 - Cincotta, Alex (0) 80 - Martin, Jack (0) 67 - Durdin, Corey (0) 53 - Cuningham, David (0) 52 - Fisher, Zac (0) 39 - Boyd, Jordan (0) 38 - Dow, Patrick (0) 29 - Fogarty, Lachlan (0) Charlie's recent form and Cerra's injury has opened up voting somewhat. Charlie is now clearly in 2nd place. Pretty tight behind these two. Re: Jim Park Analysis 2023 - crashlander - 08-13-2023 AFL Rd 20: Carlton vs Collingwood To beat Collingwood the way we did was superb! One of the great wins. Trends: [1] There were 11 voters this week, which is as disappointing for a such a win. Please do take the time to vote: it makes our statistics a lot more reliable and, more importantly, it shows how active we are on the forum. [2] The rating was a 10.28, which is an A+, the highest I can remember. Considering how we were playing not that long ago, I could barely believe it. [3] 15 players managed a mention this week, which shows just how we've played for the last 6 weeks. Just about everyone had a really solid contribution. Since I've been doing this we've never been this consistent all over the board as we've been these last 6 rounds. [4] The average vote this week was 34, the best I can recall. [5] 5 players managed 100 votes or more this week, with 2 others getting 94 votes! Brilliant! [6] Charlie Curnow managed 362 votes to be BOG. This was Charlie's 5th BOG for the year. Weitering and Newman also managed over 250 votes each! [7] 3 players, Curnow, Newman and Weitering attracted votes from all of the voters this week. [8] While our youngsters weren't BOG this week, they all made a decent contribution.. [9] There was no one area of dominance this week, but all areas really made a contribution. Votes: Curnow, Charles 362 Weitering, Jacob 301 Newman, Nicholas 258 Cripps, Patrick 138 Martin, Jack 129 Cerra, Adam 95 Docherty, Sam 95 McGovern, Mitchell 43 Motlop, Jesse 39 Hewett, George 22 Hollands, Oliver 22 Acres, Blake 13 Saad, Adam 13 Cincotta, Alex 9 Fogarty, Lachlan 4 Progressive Voting: 2830 - Cerra, Adam (0) 2642 - Curnow, Charles (0) 1952 - Docherty, Sam (0) 1838 - Newman, Nicholas (0) 1765 - Cripps, Patrick (0) 1763 - Walsh, Sam (0) 1694 - Weitering, Jacob (0) 1026 - Acres, Blake (0) 1008 - McKay, Harrison (0) 809 - Silvagni, Jack (0) 775 - McGovern, Mitchell (0) 674 - Saad, Adam (0) 665 - de Koning, Tom (0) 619 - Hewett, George (0) 504 - Young, Lewis (0) 471 - Kemp, Brodie (0) 457 - Kennedy, Matthew (0) 381 - Curnow, Edward (0) 311 - Pittonet, Marc (0) 304 - Cottrell, Matthew (0) 301 - Owies, Matthew (0) 282 - Motlop, Jesse (0) 235 - Hollands, Oliver (0) 209 - Martin, Jack (0) 191 - Cincotta, Alex (0) 67 - Durdin, Corey (0) 53 - Cuningham, David (0) 52 - Fisher, Zac (0) 39 - Boyd, Jordan (0) 38 - Dow, Patrick (0) 33 - Fogarty, Lachlan (0) Getting close at the top, since Cerra has missed with injury. This week he managed 95 votes in a half of a game. But Charlie is closing. Behind him is something of a logjam. Re: Jim Park Analysis 2023 - crashlander - 08-20-2023 AFL Rd 21: Carlton vs St. Kilda The first half was pretty ordinary, but the last half was something else. Trends: [1] There were 11 voters this week, which is a little disappointing for a such an important win. Please do take the time to vote: it makes our statistics a lot more reliable and, more importantly, it shows how active we are on the forum. [2] The rating was a 9.85, which is an A-. Not quite as good as a couple of our recent wins, but very good all the same. [3] 17 players managed a mention this week, which shows just how we've played for the last 7 weeks. Just about everyone had a really solid contribution. Since I've been doing this we've never been this consistent all over the board as we've been these last 7 rounds. [4] The average vote this week was 32. Not a bad effort at all. [5] 6 players managed 100 votes or more this week. That shows just how good our spread of good players has been. [6] Nic Newman managed 398 votes to be BOG. This was Nic's 3rd BOG for the year. Acres was 2nd with his 2nd best total for the year. [7] 1 player, Nic Newman, got votes from everyone. Three others missed by 1 voter. [8] While our youngsters weren't BOG this week, they all made a decent contribution. Hollands, Kemp and Motlop all garnered votes. Hollands got a Rising Star nomination. [9] There was no one area of dominance this week, but all areas really made a contribution. Re: Jim Park Analysis 2023 - crashlander - 08-26-2023 AFL Rd 22: Carlton vs Melbourne The first time we've beaten Melbourne in a long time, and a hard contest for the night. We really deserved this one. Trends: [1] There were 11 voters this week, which is a little disappointing for a such an important win. This round last year we had 16 voters, even though we failed. Please do take the time to vote: it makes our statistics a lot more reliable and, more importantly, it shows how active we are on the forum. [2] The rating was a 10.09, which is an A. We've managed a consistency of score in this area like none other I can remember. It is great. [3] 17 players managed a mention again this week, which shows just how we've played for the last 8 weeks. Just about everyone had a really solid contribution. Since I've been doing this we've never been this consistent all over the board as we've been these last 8 rounds. [4] The average vote this week was 33. The best run I can remember in this area. [5] 4 players managed 100 votes or more this week. [6] Patrick Cripps managed 307 votes to be BOG this week, followed by Newman and Hewett. This was Cripps' 1st BOG for the year, although it was his 10th time in the top 4. Nic newman has been in the top 4 8 times this year. [7] 3 players, Cripps, Hewett and Newman, got votes from everyone this week. The rest of the votes were well spread. [8] Our youngsters continued to make an impression, an excellent sig moving forwards. Kemp and Cincotta managed votes. [9] There was no one area of dominance this week, but all areas really made a contribution. Charlie Curnow and Cerra are now neck and neck, due to Cerra's injury and Charlie's good recent form. But the closing pack is closing fast; we've had a lot of players doing well in recent times. It will go down to the wire this year! Re: Jim Park Analysis 2023 - crashlander - 09-03-2023 AFL Rd 23: Carlton vs Gold Coast Not our best game for the year; the 1st quarter was ordinary, but the last 3 were strong. But we won on the Gold Coast, which is a big positive. Trends: [1] There were 14 voters this week, a significant improvement on recent games. Let's hope we can keep it up for the last couple of games. Please do take the time to vote: it makes our statistics a lot more reliable and, more importantly, it shows how active we are on the forum. [2] The rating was a 8.79, which is an B-. It is the worst score were had for months, but we still won. Since I've been doing this we've never been this consistent all over the board as we've been these last 9 rounds. [4] The average vote this week was 30. It goes to show that we were not at our peak. We've been up for a long time. [5] 4 players managed 100 votes or more this week. It shows that we had a handful of relatively dominant players. the 'bit players' were less significant this week. [6] Charlie Curnow managed 432 votes to be BOG this week, followed by Newman and Hewett. This was Charlie's 6th BOG for the year. Nic Newman has been in the top 4 9 times this year. I stuffed up the spreadsheet and had to reconstruct a fair bit of the data. I've got it under control now, at least until I find the next glitch. I should have the GWS game up by Wednesday at the latest. Re: Jim Park Analysis 2023 - crashlander - 09-06-2023 AFL Rd 24: Carlton vs GWS We got the job done for Charlie, but we didn't get a lot more out of this game. Trends: [1] There were 9 voters this week. Clearly the loss, and the way we lost, reduced voter participation this week. Please do take the time to vote: it makes our statistics a lot more reliable and, more importantly, it shows how active we are on the forum. [2] The rating was a 7.59, which is an C-. We weren't impressed this week. [3] 18 players managed a mention this week, but nobody got the scores that we've having recently. So. most players did something, but few did enough. [4] The average vote this week was 27. It goes to show that we were not at our peak. We've been up for a long time. [5] 4 players managed 100 votes or more this week. It shows that we had a handful of relatively dominant players. the 'bit players' were less significant this week.
