This is my real attempt. It's terrible. I was hoping to be so far left as to be completely off the chart. How did I get infected with so much right wing ideology ? Was it Watergate ? Was it Samsara ? Was it cable TV ?

Yep, I think it’s describing the US political spectrum. The widespread belief in American exceptionalism would have slanted responses to “my country, right or wrong”

Agree.

Patriotism and religious zealotry abound in the US. I'm pretty sure Trump would not have lasted 12 months in Oz.
