Re: In Game Action: 2019 Rd 23: Carlton vs Geelong - Mantis - 08-24-2019 Tell me and try to convince me we won’t lose by over 100 points. No home ground advantage or poor umpiring can create that result. Are we really looking that sh1t? Some pride would be making tuohy eat the football at some point. That holding the ball against levi was diabolical. No home ground advantage or poor umpiring can create that result. Are we really looking that sh1t? We are playing the team that spent most of the year on top of the ladder with a game in hand.....at their home deck.....at full strength. We have given them a headstart, the wind advantage for the entire game and the umpires on their side. We are playing without our best key forward (Curnow) and best defender (Jones) and in their place is an injured Harry, a not 100% Weitering. We are a tall marking side, with young kid runners. Both of which is a hindrance in the wet. We have nothing to play for, and have busted our gut up to this point of the season....arguably playing above ourselves for the 2nd half of the season. I'm not saying i expected this, but you can certainly understand it. Re: In Game Action: 2019 Rd 23: Carlton vs Geelong - laj - 08-24-2019 I figured this would happen and we'd check out again. Glad we won last week to get 6 wins from 11 to finish. Won 2 last rounds since 2001. No point getting too worried about it. Re: In Game Action: 2019 Rd 23: Carlton vs Geelong - capcom - 08-24-2019 And still some of these idiot clowns want a home final ... I hope they get smashed in September. Re: In Game Action: 2019 Rd 23: Carlton vs Geelong - kruddler - 08-24-2019 Yet another example of umpires screwing us over. How was that touched? Clearly didn't get touched by Geelong player. Hit below the knee on Obrien, which counts as a kick. Not only did the field umpire screw us over when the goal umpire thought it was a goal....and tried to say that no review is required....the umpire in the box came back with touched as well. FMD! How??? Umpires call i would have accepted, but flat out behind is bollocks for many reasons. Re: In Game Action: 2019 Rd 23: Carlton vs Geelong - Barbs - 08-24-2019 So the goal umpire says it’s come off a Carlton player below the knee after the kick, how does the field umpire get to over rule ithe goal when it’s after any Geelong player is any where near it? |
