The Age writer who covered the game rated Murph as our best player and I reckon it was his best game this season.  Interestingly, the report was written as if North had won  :o    North’s decision to play Larkey as a forward was written up as a match winning move  :Smile

Perhaps the deadline for Sunday’s paper was three quarter time and the writer assumed that North would run over the top of us  :-\

I think I gave Murphy votes(If I didn't he was in the mix.) but I was with the other coach rating Plowman and Kennedy high.

It's really a perspective in a game like that, do you value shovel it forward grunt work more than skills, or are you in awe of the guys who use the ball like the weather is dry.

Some of our members posted that they thought it was Pittonet's worst game, but the coaches gave him votes as did many other forum members. Weird eh? I thought it was his best game, against a serious opponent, but I thought he wasn't close to our best on the day. I think I had Setterfield high, as a good mix of grunt and ball use.

You and me are not that important Paul.

Whatever you and I think, the sun rises and sets each day, we are nothing... I can find better things to do than attempt to hold back the tide.
