That's possibly the worst game of football I've ever seen, we have played horribly, and somehow won!

Amazing stuff.

You would have sworn the game was played in a monsoon.

Plenty of heart and guts in the performance, not a lot of skill.

Stand out for me was Byrne... made one howler, but he can play.

In a battle of losers we just lost by less. But for now we're not bottom of the ladder and talk of a winless season is gone.

I will never knock Liam Jones again..... for the next week or so.

Have there ever been that many players in the middle for a Gatorade shower ;D

That'll keep the wolves from the door for a while.  If we were winless going into the Rd 6 match against the drug cheats, the pressure and doubts would have been at a dangerous level.

It's one of the worst games of football I've ever seen.  Frankly thought that's an indictment on Freo who have completely collapsed. Fyfe goes off and their done.

To the boys credit they put in for four quarters. They were intense and never, ever put their heads down.  Skills aside that's what I've been looking for!

Can't argue too much with that.
However:
Goals: Thomas 3, Jones 2, Gibbs 1, Murphy, 1, Charlie Curnow 1, Lamb 1

Possessions:
Curnow 31 (!!!), Simpson 30, Cripps 30, Murphy 28, Kerridge 28, Gibbs 26, Wright 23, Byrne 19

Fremantle always play this restrictive type of football...yes, they were missing players but don't underestimate this effort.
We'd beat a lot of teams with this approach

Good to see those guys getting among the goals. Good to see those other guys getting among the possies.

Nice didn't expect that.

Big goals from Murphy and Gibbs last quarter too.

I think the stats people may have merged some of the Curnow records!

Just on this game, how bad is our decision making? Johnson is injured on one leg and one out with Carlton players deep in our F50 as we go sideways, multiple times!
