Terrific cast. .....but it's a strange movie (Love Actually) some of the sub-stories are really good. Bill Nighy's old rocker is a crack-up. ....others story lines are pretty ordinary. The porn star Hobbit and his girlfriend is really forgettable as is the Laura Linney story. Funny to see Rick (from the Walking Dead) obsessed with Keira Knightley. He'd just take out the competition these days ;D Re: RIP Alan Rickman - PassIt2Carrots - 01-15-2016 (01-15-2016, 02:38 AM)Lods link Wrote:I might be a bit of a ''girlie-man'' but my favourite role of Rickman's is his one in Love Actually. OMG it's that guy? Love Actually is most definitely not my kind of film but I loved it lol. Bloke that headed to the US to pick up American babes made the film for me! ![]() RIP. Very underutilized, loved him in Dogma. RIP. Never have and never will watch any of the Harry Potter films, and despite loving him in Die Hard, Dogma is what i always think of when i think about Alan "Metatron" Rickman. Seems fitting now.
Re: RIP Alan Rickman - Lods - 01-15-2016 Just from reading some of the tributes.....he was a very versatile and talented actor (just in this thread there's a range of opinions as to his favourite roles)... but the general opinion seems to be that he was also a champion bloke. Well apparently the BBC have filmed the first part relating to King Alfred, so I'm hoping it gets shown on SBS eventually - that I would definitely enjoy. I am looking forward to that - and the next season of Vikings will be out soon
Re: RIP Alan Rickman - cimm1979 - 01-16-2016 Galaxy Quest was a terrific little film he was in. His dead pan delivery of lines was brilliant. Re: RIP Alan Rickman - age - 01-17-2016 Happy Trails Hans. |
