The Doc is a very level-headed, consistent, dedicated, non-egotistical jet. Those are the blokes that go unnoticed...... But win premierships ;D ;D

He's a less show ponyish, more accountable version of Grant Birchall.

We have a sub-VFL standard forward half. Sad

Our mids are somewhere in the middle as a group, with Cripps amongst the games elite.

That's true....only Essendon have scored less ''points for" than us.
But one area at a time Wink

Very happy with the wins, great to see the players happy and rewarded for persistent effort.

Nothing like actually winning to help confidence in the game plan - and each other - feed on itself.

This is complete contrast to the drawn out horror that was the Mick mistake.

Very happy - much better to watch - looks like more fun to play.

We may struggle later in the season as the younger players tire, and we are still very light on for depth, so it would not take many injuries for our competitiveness to drop off, but still - very very happy.

Didn't think AE was as bad as some are sayin - have watched the replay twice and one thing I noticed was he was bent over at one stage obviously out of breath - I think he's possibly unfit?

I wonder as well if people get more fired up depending on what the commentators spend time Ripping apart the two or three fumbles made- and yesterday it was AE. Interestingly Gibbs got caught completely unaware with the ball and there was no ripping commentary about that - and that was a big stuff up.  I think AE will play next week and agree with others that he does need to do more chasing wise but think he was just not match fit yestersay

Just wait till he goes to another team then he will be called a gun...ala Betts.! :Smile

Wow big call Malo, he certainly has talent though.  ;D

I haven't had a chance to see the second half yet. Happy with a win no matter how it happens. Just want to see an effort from all the players. Better than the footy we have been playing for the last couple of years.

I have posted before, if we can come away with a solid back half after year 1 of a rebuild we're doing very well.

Docherty, Weitering, Plowman and Byrne. That's a 10 year backline, we need to add a lockdown small defender and another big and we have a group that will grow together.

With the forward line, they are mostly speculative - Curnow, McKay and Silvagni could be anything or nothing, add in Boekhurst as a HFF/Wing and we have building blocks. Again need another big and two small forwards, and this draft seems to be full of small forwards with pace who can pinch hit in the midfield.

Mids is where we need the most help, quality ball users with speed and grunt x 4, cause they're soooo easy to get  :Smile
