To say we would have lost without Cripps, whilst probably true, is a little too pessimistic for my liking. After q time, no-one was truly horrible which is a nice change
)I’d leave Casboult down back. For a while we’ve been saying that, as good as Weits is, he’s not equipped to handle the opposition monsters. Mind you, no-one is having much luck with Hawkins atm.
Speaking of Weits, has anyone noticed his shoulder is no longer strapped? Probably playing injury-free for the first time in 2.5 years.
Jones - IF he comes back, that is (not was - concussion diminishes a person permanently) a horrible incident and injury - i’d like to see tried across the centre as someone has already suggested. Maybe even as a chop out for Cripps? Might be a bit too left field but he does have good closing speed and is certainly not scared to put his body on the line.
i’m fearful of what might happen when Murphy comes back. I dunno, just feels like the winds of change are in the air and it feels good on my face.
Finally, to add my own touch of pessimism:
Winning rate for first game of coaches appointed mid-season = 50%
Winning rate for second game of same coaches = 19%

It was a stirring win though, particularly after the inept first quarter, and even the board has the right to celebrate.

As one of LOB's critics like to say I was encouraged by his effort yesterday. Didn't look out of place and now some cautious optimism.

I heard it mentioned elsewhere earlier today but I'd like to see a direct quote.
Quoted in one of the papers (sorry I forget which one though likely The Age) but I did hear it live on Triple M around 6:30pm Friday. When asked about the selection committee and the potential next coach Judd replied that they won't be appointing anyone needing 'training wheels'.

The Club that goes from black to white. They have, correctly or otherwise, convinced themselves that our list is star studded, and the new coach has no grace period of any kind. 1980's CFC. Well, at least they've made it public knowledge, so the new coach should be under no illusions.
