If you are quoted in an article saying you are going to take more shots at goal and not pass them off in gettable range....then that's what you should do. He was 40 out on 45 degree angle and passed it off. Those are the ones you kick. If you can't practice those shots in a practice match, then why do we play them? But primarily you play practise matches to develop systems of cohesion against an unknown opponent, something that is impossible to replicate in match-sim because inside your own club everybody knows what is about to happen. It may well be the case one of the things we wanted to test was tricks for creating space inside F50. But otherwise, rewarding team-mates for doing the right thing is a big plus, because the opposite is burning them and that always comes back to bite you! What you say has some merit. However, if that's our focus teague should get the sack. We have one of the best young forward talents in the league, the ONLY thing holding him back is between his ears and he's made it a focus in the off-season. Nothing boasts confidence like kicking a few goals and getting a win. He will be our lone key forward this year with the injuries we have and he needs belief. Belief in himself and the system. We will win more games this year with a confident, fit and firing Harry then we will by making space inside 50 Re: AFL Practice Match 2021 Carlton vs the Drug Cheats - Baggers - 02-25-2021 (02-25-2021, 10:50 AM)BluePhantom link Wrote:Watched the replay and it seems Big H is still not hungry enough. I think I understand your point and can see how it would appear that way. Some blokes just seem phlegmatic the way they move... Rhys-Jones was a classic example, as was my Avatar, Brent Crosswell. I think H has a little of that look. He's also 7 metres tall which can make you look a little 'lumberish' when after the aggot or opponent. And it was a practice match. Zachery F. is probably the opposite, no matter what he does he seems manic. Re: AFL Practice Match 2021 Carlton vs the Drug Cheats - capcom - 02-25-2021 Reckon it will be refined as time goes on. We NEED forward options aplenty. As you said Baggers, it was a hitout. Imagine Saad will cause some chaos as well. When he puts his foot to the metal, he has seriously fast wheels. Like Cieran Byrne, but with more idea of what he actually doing!!! We havent had that sort of run off HB for years Re: AFL Practice Match 2021 Carlton vs the Drug Cheats - Gointocarlton - 02-25-2021 (02-25-2021, 10:30 PM)Milhanna13 link Wrote:Like Cieran Byrne, but with more idea of what he actually doing!!! It's that "we together" mentality that generates sacrifice, and creates those blocks and shepherds that the likes of the Nthmond running brigade hand out for Dusty or Reiwoldt. Those things we see off the ball that we hate seeing go unpenalized, mostly because we do not do it too! The media said he was fighting a hip infection, I gather it wasn't your run of the mill day to day issue he has been battling! So we wish him well, we don't wish that sort of misfortune on anybody, be it one of ours or one of theirs! |
