I've also noticed that we never ever lead to the ball carrier. Waite was the last forward to do this regularly. How hard can it be ? It is not those leading making the errors today, the delivery is unbelievably poor. I felt physically sick at the footy last week. Turns out it was gastro. Was not a fun car ride home.....didn't make it. :-[ Re: Rd 17: In Game Emotional Outbursts: Carlton vs Western Bulldogs - shawny - 07-16-2017 (07-16-2017, 07:12 AM)kruddler link Wrote:When you don't have any forwards in your side, there's a fair chance that their backs are just surrounding him waiting for us to bomb it and converge on him. And way too many of our ball carriers can't Fking kick to save themself. Graham twice that quarter just needed to hit a 20 metre target and we get an easy shot at goal. Mucked both up. Our kicking into F50 today is back to the malthouse days! Re: Rd 17: In Game Emotional Outbursts: Carlton vs Western Bulldogs - Micky0 - 07-16-2017 Another unpleasant quarter to watch. They do look knackered though. Simpsons kick into the dogs player when we should've been going towards goal! So frustrating! Let them have two easy ones at the end so dead quarter now Re: Rd 17: In Game Emotional Outbursts: Carlton vs Western Bulldogs - kruddler - 07-16-2017 (07-16-2017, 07:15 AM)mateinone link Wrote:It is not those leading making the errors today, the delivery is unbelievably poor. I'm not disputing our mids are not using it well. When you have Kerridge and Graham as 2 of your best mids, you take what you can get. But i'm not talking specifically about this week. We just don't lead properly, Casboult prefers to run and jump at the high ball as it leaves him closer to goal. Charlie and Jack don't quite have the leg to take the ball around the 50. Leaves us very 1-dimensional and adds to our forwardline issues. Re: Rd 17: In Game Emotional Outbursts: Carlton vs Western Bulldogs - Robblues - 07-16-2017 Lacking penetration so far in the last qtr keeping hold of the ball but nothing on the scoreboard Re: Rd 17: In Game Emotional Outbursts: Carlton vs Western Bulldogs - PaulP - 07-16-2017 I understand why Bolton is keen to play his flooding, keepings off style. But I simply don't agree with it. Re: Rd 17: In Game Emotional Outbursts: Carlton vs Western Bulldogs - PaulP - 07-16-2017 Alex down to the rooms. |
