List Changes towards 2023 - crashlander - 12-20-2022 Carlton came out with 3 list changes today, none of which are that surprising: [1] Poppy Schaap - 3 games in 2 seasons for 3 goals [2] Charlotte Hammans - 5 games in 3 seasons. [3] Jessica Jones - 0 games Of those, we traded for Hammans, so her results are disappointing. Schaap was a supplementary pick. Re: List Changes towards 2023 - blueianh - 12-21-2022 Surprised Schaap delisted given 3 goals in her 2 games this season even if she did struggle to get into the team until the end of the season. I mean it's not like we were flooded with goalkickers. Re: List Changes towards 2023 - kruddler - 12-22-2022 Schaap game with a lot of hope, but delivered not much. Her last 2 games she showed some good signs, but sadly, was not really going to work out long term. There is always the option to redraft her, but for a small forward, she was very small, and very slow, and had a short kick on her. Not much scope to grow. A bit like Luke Parks in the mens. Gave it his all, solid effort, limited room to get better. We have to limil bringing in players who are marginal at best. Re: List Changes towards 2023 - kruddler - 01-18-2023 Not Carlton related, but list changes nonetheless... Daisy Pearce is hanging up the boots. She got her premiership. Go out on top. Handy addition to anyone who can get her. Yes, Daisy starts as an assistant coach at Geelong now. Geelong signed her up as an assistant as part of the AFL’s Women’s Coach Acceleration Program and the deal is that she starts her two year contract upon retirement. Re: List Changes towards 2023 - DJC - 03-06-2023 Lucy McEvoy's gorn! She is joining Sydney as one of their Priority Signings. I think that Lucy is a player we can ill-afford to lose > Re: List Changes towards 2023 - LP - 03-06-2023 The Filth lost Chloe Molloy who was a potential captain, we've lost a bunch of players and now we've lost McEvoy. It's hard to see how the AFL thinks this is a positive, for me this sort of development player movement is doing a lot of damage to the AFLW, damage that will take years and years for the competition to recover from. Why would you bother investing, if we knew what was coming I doubt we would have ever accepted the grants to redeveloped the ground into the defacto AFLW Headquarters? |
