Tesla electric car - capcom - 04-22-2021

Autonomous tesla car runs straight into a tree, kills the two passengers and it took 120,000 litres of water to extinguish the battery flames.

Elon for sure will have some excuse but I guess this is the price of progress as bugs get ironed out of these high tech software/devices. Seeing more Teslas on the road now however the business still cant make a clear profit and relies on selling regulatory credits to make the books look good.
Thats some fire , lithium of course reacts with water and can cause fire, bit like driving with a couple of bombs onboard.
Brother inlaw has a hybrid Rav4 and raves about the economy......think I'll stick to something of that ilk next time I buy a vehicle.

Watched an episode of Grand Tour in which Richard Hammond crashed a new electric supercar. Burst into flames.

Afterwards they said that the fire re-started itself 4 times over the coming days and kept having to be put out.

Each time it was because a new battery cell got damaged/failed and restarted the fire.

There is A LOT of energy in a lithium battery.

Have a look at some of the videos of phone battery testing that goes on. Scary.

Imagine a serious pile up of EVs on a freeway.  I would never get into a car without my mitts on the wheel.

For what's its worth, Tesla released a statement that the "auto pilot" was not on according to retrieved data logs.

The US markets certainly had some doubts about his business.  The boy's always got an excuse for his failures.

Wasn’t one occupant in the back seat and the other in the passenger seat ?!
